The second project was a farm/school project on the outskirts of
Lusaka. A fifty-acre farm had been donated to a local trust and
they wanted to turn the site into a school. We stated we could help
construct the school buildings but they needed to be self-sufficient.
They came up with a proposal that made the school self-sufficient
through growing a variety of seasonal crops, which in turn paid
for the free schooling of over five hundred local children.
We subsequently expanded this support and built a toilet/shower
block that can be used by both the children and the local inhabitants
